There is a lot of money to be made in porn and no I don’t mean what you may think. I mean for those of us already established in the business. Most webmasters miss out on so much money simply because they aren’t paying attention.
Did you know that this week, on top of my normal earnings I got an XBOX 360 and $100 bonus? It’s true!! What did I do to earn such riches you may ask? Well it was really rather simple …. I PAID ATTENTION.
All day long, “affiliate mangers” are paid by our sponsors to come up with fabulous ideas to get us to send our traffic over to them. For the most part these ideas are all pretty much the same, such as FREAKY FRIDAY, get $25 bonus for every sale you make this Friday. And if you are making decent sales with them already or have some traffic to spare then this really might be great for you but for the rest of us, they are just another promotion in the line of many that we don’t give a crap about.
However that being said, that doesn’t mean we need to stop paying attention because every once in awhile something great will come along that will make us some extra cash and just a few weeks ago one such a promotion.
An affiliate manager from Python made a post at GFY about something they called coupon tube. I thought to myself, what the hell is coupon tube so I clicked the link and read on. In short, those who had an account with Python and made a post got issued a coupon book. This book was full of coupons generated at random that one could redeem for various things such as $100 cash, $250 cash, $100 per sign up, $75 per sign up, $60 per sign up, an Ipod Shuffle and things like that. You decide which coupon you want to use. If you had a really good week in sales that wee, of course you would want to turn in your $100 per sign up coupon, or maybe one week things are a little slow so you turn in your $250 cash coupon. As an added bonus, every coupon book came with a bonus coupon that was like a special prize. It included trips for two, an XBOX 360, a Sony PS3, an Ipod Nano, $1000 cash, $500 cash, $2500 cash and things like that. Exactly what coupons you get are random but you get to control which coupons you use and when. By the way if you have an accout at Python, contact Stephen J and see if you can still get it on this promotion. I’m not sure but it may be worth a try.
So the question is, what does all of this mean to you and how can you benefit from any of this? Well, PAY ATTENTION. Read the webmaster boards and news sites at least once a day and keep an eye out of affiliate mangers making posts offering special deals. Read the posts carefully and all the fine print. 90% of the time it won’t be worth the effort, but that 10% is what you are looking for. Take advantages of the specials and promo deals they are offering. Sometimes they are cash ($100, $500 or even $5,000) and sometimes they are items like DVD players, Ipods, or Nintento WII’s. But even better, sometimes they bonuses can be trips to places like Miami, LA, New York City or Las Vegas. I once had a friend years ago who won a trip for two to Las Vegas from an affiliate program (Mallcom). It was really nice. She even got tickets to some show that was there at the time she really wanted to see. I can’t remember the name of it for the life of me but anyway the point is, READ WEBMASTER BOARDS DAILY and keep an eye out for news specific to programs that you may want to deal with.

You don’t have to get involved with others, or make posts - just read and read it often. Keep up to date with what is going on in our industry and you will be surprised how much you can learn and cash in on when it comes to affiliate program bonuses.
