When people start an adult website they tend to make the common mistake of not specializing in a specific genre or theme. Most people tend to be far to general when they need to take a back some and focus on a specific market. Obviously everything with your website is going to be about sex, it’s an adult website. So you go one more and say Sex: Blondes. So now you know that everything about your website will be about sex and blondes. Good but that’s a pretty vast market. I would go even one step further and say Sex: Blondes: Lesbians. That means that you picked a theme where everything with your website revolves around blonde lesbians. Here are some good themes but they are still to general.

By targeting your market to something so specific it means less competition for you and that makes it easier for you to find a domain name that is appropriate for your content and build up traffic through search engines. Although it can sometimes be harder to find content for very specifically themed websites, it does allow you to target your advertising better to more appropriate affiliate programs that cater to your type of traffic and that means improved click through ratios and in the end that means MORE MONEY FOR YOU!! And after all, isn’t making the most money what it’s all about in the first place?
It’s funny, when people create a website the first thing everyone tells them to do is create a TGP (picture post) website. That is honestly the worst advice you can give anyone. There are already 200 zillion of those out there, so why do we need one more copy of another crappy website? Instead create something unique and special. Set yourself apart from the sea of shit that is already out there and you’ll find you will actually make money from your website, not just learn how to do HTML.
